Galaxy Caravan Park Rules

In welcoming you, the management of the Galaxy Caravan Park is endeavouring to make the park a quiet and friendly place for you to enjoy. However, as in all aspects of social living, regulations relating to each and everyone’s well being must be observed. Your cooperation in adhering to the park regulation will be appreciated and is expected.


General Park Rules

ETIQUETTE
Do not walk between sites unless invited to; these are peoples’ homes, and this should be respected. Please use the roads and pathways. Do not cause a nuisance or seriously affect the reasonable peace, comfort or privacy of other park residents or staff. Guests and tenants must not use the premises for any illegal purposes.

CARS
One car per site. Extra vehicles are only with managements’ approval.  See the office for instruction before undertaking any repairs or maintenance on vehicles. Unregistered vehicles are not permitted on your site.

SPEED
A maximum of 10km/h on all roads and areas within the caravan park.

GUESTS
Day visitors are welcome. Visitors staying overnight are charged at $8.00 per person, per night. Tenants are responsible for their visitor’s behavior and compliance with park rules. Overnight guests are to check in at the office in advance.

PARENTS
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times – including recreational facilities, push bikes and the amenities. Pathways are for walking only. The concrete road is an adults only area and is out of bounds to children. No responsibility will be taken by management for injuries sustained to children whilst unsupervised on the premises.

ALCOHOL
Overt drunken behaviour around the park will not be tolerated. This includes excess noise from within your cabin/ site.

SWEARING
Swear as much as you want, but make sure you’re the only one that hears it. Loud or excessive vulgar or offensive language will not be tolerated.

NOISE
Give your neighbours a break. Please keep radios, TV’s etc. to a minimum at all times. All excess noise should cease no later than 10:00pm.

SITES
Sites are to be kept clean and tidy. All excess equipment and belongings are to be stored out of sight. No items are to be leaned against cabins or caravans.

RUBBISH
Garbage and recycling waste is to be separated. Secure general waste garbage in a bag and place in the Green Bins with Green Lids. Recycling is to be placed loose in recycling bins – these are the Red Bins with Red lids. See office for further information

BBQ AREA
There is an electric BBQ provided in the tent area for all tenants. Please read BBQ instructions thoroughly before use. The BBQ is to be cleaned after each use and all rubbish is to be placed into the bins provided.

SMOKERS
You are responsible for your cigarette butts – do not leave them on the ground. All butts are to be placed in the garbage bin. Contents of full ashtray’s etc. should be placed into a secured bag before being put in the bin.

LAUNDRY
Clothes lines are situated throughout the park for your use. No washing is to be hung from cabins or caravans with makeshift lines.

AMENITIES
The amenities block is to be treated with respect and kept clean and tidy after each use. If you make a mess, you clean it up – there are toilet brushes provided and are to be used. Do not use excess toilet paper. Pick up any paper that drops on the floor. Disregard for personal cleanliness will not be tolerated.

PETS

No animals are allowed in the cabins, the pool area or in the amenities block at any time. Dogs are to be kept on a leash at all times for their own safety as well as for other guests’. Do not leave pets unattended. Owners must clean up after their pets, control barking and dispose of waste in a sealed plastic bag. Evidence of any pets taken into cabins will incur a $55.00 cleaning fee. We do not accept pets on a long-term basis. Failure to follow rules will result in immediate eviction at the managers’ discretion.


In addition to these general rules, long term tenants must also adhere to the following:

Long Term Tenant Rules

SITE FEES
All site fees are to be kept at least one week in advance. With a minimum occupancy period of four weeks for long term accommodation. If your stay is less than 28 days short term charges apply

TICA
If you vacate the premises and there is money owing for rent, damages or cleaning, you will be registered on the TICA database which is used by most rental agencies where your information will be stored for 3 years.

ELECTRICITY
Sites are metered individually and power rates are charged on a sliding scale in accordance to the Department of Mines and Energy. You are to read your electricity meter and pay it with your site fee.

DEPARTURES
Long term tenant departure requires a minimum of 14 days’ notice. Notice is to be given during office hours in writing to management. Payment of rental fees are required in lieu of inadequate notice given. Any damages and cleaning is the occupant’s responsibility. Departure time is 10:00am unless prior arrangement is made with management. Form 13 Notice of Intention to Leave are available at the office upon request. Relevant fee will be charged if the cabin is left in an unsatisfactory condition upon departure.

PARK CABINS
All Galaxy Caravan Park cabins are to be respected and kept in a neat and tidy condition at all times. Failure to do so may result in a health hazard and pose a health and safety risk to yourself and others. Cabin inspections will be undertaken by management if a violation is suspected and must be remedied.

BOND REFUND
Bond refunds will only be given once the caravan or cabin has been vacated and inspected by management. Inspections will only be carried out between 9:00am-3:00pm Monday to Friday. Cabins are to be left clean and tidy or a cleaning fee will be charged. Sites are to be left free of rubbish.

CLEANING FEE
An ‘excessive cleaning’ fee of $60.00 per hour will be charged where cabin accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, or our pet or non-smoking policy has been ignored. You will also be charged for the cost of replacement for any major breakages (fair wear and tear excluded), the replacement of any items removed from the cabin or for the cost of repair for any damage to our property.

STRUCTURES
Any gardens, fences, carports, garden sheds or solid walled annex’s must be approved by management. Unauthorised structures will be removed.

INSURANCE
It is your responsibility to insure your own personal contents and/ or your own caravan. These are not covered by the lessor’s insurance policy.

LANDSCAPING
If your gardens or surrounding area needs landscaping attention please alert management.

SECURITY
Tenants must gain authority from management before installing personal security cameras. Camera’s must be operated and positioned in compliance with the Australian Criminal Code and Privacy Act 1988.

OFFICE HOURS
Long term tenant rent and electricity payments are to be confined to 4:30pm – 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 4:00pm – 5:00pm Friday and 9:00am – 10:00am on Saturday. Payments made outside this time will not be accepted unless prior arrangements have been made with management.
